Sign up in two steps
1. Add a domain to your cart
Search on the domain search page and click Add to cart on an available name. The account step appears when you continue to checkout, so you only sign up when you are ready to register.
2. Click Checkout
If you are not signed in, a window opens with the title Create your account to check out.
3. Enter your email and a password
Use an address you read every day, because renewal reminders, invoices and transfer emails go there. The password needs at least 10 characters. A long passphrase that you use nowhere else is the safest choice.
4. Type the 6 digit code
We send a code to your email address. It expires in 15 minutes. Type it in the 6 digit code field and click Verify and continue. If the email does not arrive, check your spam or promotions folder, or click Send a new code.
5. Continue to checkout
You are signed in and back at your cart, with every domain still in it. From here you enter the registrant details and pay. See how to register a domain for the rest of the order.
Signing in later
Click Sign in at the top of any page and enter your email and password. If you forget the password, choose Sign in with a code instead and we email you a one time code. After signing in, Go to dashboard opens your list of domains.
It says an account with this email already exists. What should I do?
You signed up before with that address. Click Sign in instead, or use a code if you do not remember the password.
The code is not accepted. Why?
Codes expire after 15 minutes and only the newest code works. Request a new one and use it right away.
Can a team share one account?
An account belongs to one email address. Agencies often use a shared role address such as domains at their company, so access does not depend on one person. Read domain account security before you share access.
Is the account owner the same as the domain owner?
Not always. The account manages the domain. The registrant named at checkout is the legal owner. You can set a client or your company as the registrant and still manage the domain from your account. See update registrant contact details.
