When you receive a verification email
- After you register a new domain with an email address that is not verified yet.
- After you change the registrant email address of a domain.
- After a transfer in, if the registrant email has not been verified before.
If you already verified the same address for another domain, you usually do not get a new email.
Verify your registrant email step by step
1. Find the email
Look for a message from NameBest with the subject that asks you to verify your domain contact. It goes to the registrant email, which may differ from your account email.
2. Click the link
The link opens a page that confirms the address in one click. You do not need to sign in.
3. Check the result in the dashboard
Go to Dashboard, then Domains, select the domain and open the Registrant tab. The email shows as Verified.
Resend the verification link
Open the Registrant tab of the domain and click Resend verification email. The new link replaces the old one. If the address is wrong, correct it first. See update registrant contact details.
I did not receive the email. What should I do?
Check your spam and promotions folders. Make sure the registrant email address is spelled correctly in the Registrant tab, then resend the link.
My domain stopped working and shows a suspension page. Why?
The 15 day window passed without verification. Click the link in the latest email or resend it from the Registrant tab. The domain resolves again shortly after the address is verified.
The registrant is my client. Who has to click?
The person who reads the registrant email address. Ask your client to click the link, or forward them the email. Agencies can read about managing client domains on domain management for agencies.
Does WHOIS privacy affect verification?
No. Privacy hides your address from public WHOIS, but we still send the verification to your real email. Read WHOIS privacy explained.
Your rights and duties as a registrant are listed in registrant rights.
